Accordingly, a timeline was established for expanding the list of products covered under the ban:

• January 2024: Ban on single-use plastic bags, tariff of 25 fils on all other types of single use bags.
• June 2024: Ban on all single-use bags.
• January 2025: Ban on plastic stirrers, Styrofoam food containers, plastic table covers, plastic cotton swabs, plastic straws and single-use Styrofoam cups.
• January 2026: Ban on single-use plastic cups and lids, single-use plastic cutlery, plastic food cutlery and plastic plates.

The impact of this strategy would be considerable for the circular economy and sustainable development while being effective in the environment preservation efforts.
